Erin Tiger named Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior middle blocker Erin Tiger has been named as the Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Tiger became the 12th player in school history to reach 1,000 kills just one week after becoming the 10th player to reach 200 blocks. She had 49 kills (3.5 per set) in a 2-2 week for the Greyhounds and she earned her fourth All-Tournament nod of the year at the Osprey Invitational hosted by Stockton University. Tiger also had 13 block, 13 digs, five service aces, three assists and a .356 hitting percentage during the week.

"It's been so fun to watch Erin improve over four years as she has become a force to be reckoned with both at the net and the service line," commented Head Coach Shelley Bauder. "She has provided great leadership for us and the coaching staff and her teammates are very proud of her recent milestone and now also receiving player of the week."

The Greyhounds will begin the 2018 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, September 29 when the squad heads to Selinsgrove to play The Catholic University of America at 1:30 p.m. and nationally-ranked Juniata College at 4:00 p.m.
