ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's lacrosse squad dropped a 25-5 decision at host Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action Wednesday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Blue Jays scored the first goal of the match just over three minutes into action, and Elizabethtown netted eight goals to lead 8-0 after 15 minutes of action
- The Jays added four more goals to start the second quarter before Moravian senior attack Griffin LeBlond got the Greyhounds on the scoreboard. Elizabethtown would net four more goals including two in the final 17 seconds of the half to head to the intermission with a 16-1 advantage
- Elizabethtown outscored Moravian 6-1 in the third quarter with the Greyhounds getting a goal from junior midfielder Jack Bakey
- Each team scored three times in the fourth quarter
Inside the Numbers
- Moravian had four different players score a goal with LeBlond netting two goals. Senior attack Nick Nolder had a goal and an assist while Bakey and freshman attack Aaron Judge both had a goal. Sophomore attack Trevor Dzama contributed an assist
- Freshman Thomas Lee recorded four saves in 30 minutes of action while junior Sean DeMott had three saves in 15 minutes of action. Sophomore Avery Napolitano posted one save in 15 minutes of play
- Sophomore defender Matt Baer led the Greyhounds six ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers while graduate student defender Jimmy Schicke added five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Senior attack Connor James scooped up three ground balls
- Freshman Gannon Mesko went 9-for-23 on face-offs while senior Ben Walek was 3-for-10 on face-offs
