TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University graduate student defender Jimmy Schicke has been named to the 2022 Landmark Men's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team while senior attack Connor James and senior midfielder Zach Bergeron were named to the All-Conference Second Team.

The trio helped the Greyhounds to a 7-6 record this spring and a 3-4 mark in Landmark Conference action.

Schicke, who earned All-Conference honors for the fifth time in his career after being on the First Team in 2017, 2019 and 2021 and the Second Team in 2018 as a long stick midfielder, led the Hounds with 54 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers to go along with a goal. Schicke finished his six-year career ranked second in program history with 278 ground balls, and he also had four goals, five assists and 106 caused turnovers in 68 career matches.

"Jimmy is a five-time All-Conference player, and he led the team in ground balls and take-aways again this spring," stated Head Coach Dave Carty. "He has consistently been one of the best defenders in the league, and Jimmy is second all-time in our program in ground balls and first in takeaways. He was also Moravian's Senior Male Athlete of the Year in 2021."

James made the All-Conference Team for the first time, and he broke the school record with 47 goals in 2022 to go along with nine assists, 31 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. James saw action in 44 career matches with 28 starts, and he had 106 goals, which is third in program history, 22 assists, 74 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. His 128 points are fourth in the school's record book, and James had 17 man-up and four man-down goals in his career.

"Connor set several scoring records at Moravian this year including the most goals in a season and scored his 100th point while starting every game for us," noted Carty. "He's been a great captain and leader for our team."

Bergeron was named to the All-Conference Second Team for the second consecutive spring. This spring, Bergeron had 13 goals and three assists to go with 27 ground balls and five caused turnovers. In 30 career matches with 10 starts, he contributed 27 goals, eighth assists, 48 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.

"Zach is a two-time All-Conference midfielder that has a big physical presence at the midfield," commented Carty. "He drew the slide to start the offense for us this year."
