BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's lacrosse team fell to visiting Susquehanna University, 13-3, in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Friday.

How It Happened

  • The River Hawks scored the first five goals of the match before senior attack Trevor Dzama got the Greyhounds on the scoreboard with 1:16 left in the first quarter as Susquehanna led 5-1 after 15 minutes of action
  • The Hounds netted the first goal of the second quarter with graduate student attack Connor James scoring to cut the deficit to 5-2. However, the River Hawks scored twice in the period and headed to the intermission with a 7-2 advantage
  • Susquehanna scored three goals to start the third quarter before sophomore attack Vincent Devito found the cage to make it 10-3 after 45 minutes of play
  • The River Hawks netted three more markers in the fourth quarter 

Inside the Numbers

  • Moravian had five players register a point with Dzama picking up a goal and an assist to go with three ground balls
  • James had a goal and three ground balls while Devito added an assist
  • Senior midfielder Joey Furino and junior midfielder Dan Kelly both had one assist
  • Junior defender Austin Hittle contributed five ground balls while going 3-for-5 on face-offs while sophomore defender Mike Sickler had three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers
  • Junior defender Jason Levy scooped up three ground balls while junior midfielder Aden Moskovitz added two caused turnovers
  • Freshman goalie Liam Kelly made eight saves to go with two ground balls in 45 minutes of action while junior Thomas Lee had three stops in the final quarter
