TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s lacrosse squad has had six student-athletes selected to the 2024 Landmark Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference teams with junior midfielder Aaron Judge being named to the First Team, senior attack Trevor Dzama, senior long stick midfielder Matt Baer, junior defender Jason Levy and junior short stick midfielder Aden Moskovitz honored on the Second Team and junior face-off specialist Gannon Mesko named to the Honorable Mention squad.

The Greyhounds made the program’s second Landmark Conference Tournament appearance, falling to fourth seed The Catholic University of America, 13-5, Tuesday night in the First Round. Head Coach Dave Carty led the Blue & Grey to a 9-9 mark this spring in his ninth season at Moravian with a 5-4 record in Landmark Conference action.

Judge, who earned All-Conference honors for the second time in his career after being on the Second Team last season, led the Greyhounds with 35 goals this season, and he added six assists, 32 ground balls and ten caused turnovers. In three seasons, Judge has scored 82 goals and added 13 assists for 95 points to go along with 66 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers in 46 matches.

“No one competes harder than Aaron on game day,” Carty said. “He’s been a great goal scorer for us even when he’s drawing the LSM. It’s great to see his hard work rewarded.”

Dzama led the Hounds this spring in scoring with 68 points on 28 goals and 40 assists to go with 26 ground balls. Dzama completes his four seasons as the Greyhounds’ all-time leading scorer with 203 points on 75 goals and a school and Landmark Conference record 128 assists. He also had 69 ground balls in 53 career matches.

“It’s great to see Trevor receive All-Conference honors,” noted Carty. “He’s been a top assist guy in the conference for three years, and he deserves the recognition for his consistent production. He’s been a great two-year captain for us too.”

Baer recorded 77 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers and a pair of assists in 2024. In his four-year career, Baer had 158 ground balls, 48 caused turnovers, three goals and four assists in 45 matches.

“Matt has been a great LSM for us doing all of the little things, picking up ground balls from the wing, our clearing game and solid one-on-one defense,” said Carty. “Off the field, he’s everything you’d want in a senior.”

Levy scooped up 55 ground balls for the Hounds this spring to go with 26 caused turnovers. Heading into his senior season, Levy has registered 110 ground balls, 50 caused turnovers, a goal and an assist in 45 matches.

“Jason had a breakout year this year,” commented Carty. “He’s a great one-on-one defender, but he’s more impressive as the leader on our defense. He’s driven us to improve in every major team category as a team captain.”

Moskovitz recorded 48 ground balls, 23 caused turnovers and two assists this season. Moskovitz has 86 ground balls, 39 caused turnovers, six goals and eight assists in 45 contests with one year remaining.

“Aden excels at a position that doesn’t get a lot of recognition,” stated Carty. “He’s a one of the hardest workers on our team, and he leads others to work harder all over the field.”

Mesko set the single season school record with 224 face-off wins in 2024 as he was 224-of-374 on face-offs to go with 101 ground balls, a goal and three caused turnovers. Mesko heads to his senior season just 38 face-off wins shy of becoming the first player in school history with 500 career face-off victories. In 43 matches, he is 462-of-828 to go with 186 ground balls, five caused turnovers, two goals and an assist.

“Gannon worked exceptionally hard this summer in the weight room and on the field to become one of the top face-off guys in the conference,” Carty explained. “He kept us in a lot of games with his production.”
