Jaindl's Third Place Finish Leads Hounds at Lehigh University Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's cross country teams finished fourth of eight teams and was the top non-NCAA Division I squad at the Lehigh University Invitational run on the Goodman Campus in south Bethlehem Friday.

The Greyhounds had 118 points in the meet on the course that will host the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in November. Senior Gregory Jaindl placed third of 92 runners on the 6,000-meter short course for the men with a time of 18:45.31. Sophomore Dominic DeRafelo was 21st in the race with a time of 19:46.34 while senior Gavin Kemery finished 29th in 19:49.77. Rounding out the Greyhounds' top five were freshman Darlyn Fermin in 44th place in a time of 20:11.96 and senior Justin Beasley-Turner finishing in 57th at 20:46.01.

\Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, September 14 when the squads head to Colmar Manor Community Park in Colmar Manor, Maryland to compete in the Catholic University of America Cardinal Classic and preview the course that will also be the sight of the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships in November.
