Moravian Men Run in Inter-Regional Rumble Hosted by Rowan

GLASSBORO, N.J. --- The Moravian College men's cross country teams finshed 18th in the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park Saturday in the squad's final tune-up for the 2019 Landmark Championships.

The Greyhounds were 18th of 29 teams with 428 points while Carnegie Mellon University won the meet with a. score of 51 points, just three ahead of Johns Hopkins University. Senior Gregory Jaindl led the Greyhounds with a 15th place finish among the 256 runners with a time of 24:41.3 on the 8,000-meter course. Jaindl's time was a personal best and the fourth fastest time in school history. Senior Justin Beasley-Turner placed 85th in a PR of 26:00.2 while senior Gavin Kemery was 94th with a PR time of 26:07.2. Sophomore Dominic DeRafelo finished in 116th with a PR time of 26:28.1 while junior Peter Gingrich was 174th in 27:18.1, also a PR. Sophomore Michael Lerch placed 186th in a time of 27:38.6 while sophomore Shane Houghton finished in 202nd in 28:00.0.

The Hounds will return to action on Saturday, November 2 when the squads compete in the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships being hosted by The Catholic University of America at Colmar Manor Park in Maryland.
