BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The No. 30 Moravian University men's cross country team finished fifth of 33 teams in the 43rd Annual Mike Woods Invitational hosted by No. 8 SUNY Geneseo at the War Plane Museum Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds scored 205 points while the host Knights won the meet with 41 points
- The top six finishing teams in the race are ranked in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Top 30 including No. 7 RPI, No. 8 SUNY Geneseo, No. 9 Carnegie Mellon, No. 24 John Carroll University, No. 28 The University of Mount Union and No. 30 Moravian
- Senior Nathan Hajel led the Hounds individually as he placed 24th of the 492 runners with a PR time of 25:02.4 on the 8,000-meter course. Hajel's time is the ninth best in program history
- Junior Bryan Kerchner finished 34th with a PR time of 25:15.3 while graduate student Cole Stanchina was 39th in the race in 25:19.3
- Sophomore Gavin Hefferan placed 62nd overall in a PR time of 25:35.9 while sophomore Nate Moore was 70th in a PR time of 25:41.3
- Rounding out the Hounds' top seven were sophomore Logan Betyeman in 146th with a time of 26:38.7 and senior Geoffrey Kleinberg at 167th in a PR time of 26:52.7
