BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's swimming squad held its first-ever Senior Day Saturday as the Greyhounds honored three seniors before competing against Marywood University at Liberty High School's Memorial Pool, falling 93-60.
How It Happened
- Sophomore Catie Lovett placed first in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.25 seconds, and she also captured the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.31
- Senior Jaelyn Mitchell took first in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 59.93 seconds, and she was second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:12.73.
- Senior Marissa Werner was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.41 seconds, and she placed third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:10.47
- Sophomore Sarah Mazzetti was third in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:35.72, and she was also third in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:06.85. Mazzetti was also third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:24.51
- Senior Sydney Steere finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in 29.64 seconds
- The Hounds 200-yard freestyle relay team of Mitchell, Werner, Steere and Lovett finished first in a time of 1:52.83
- Prior to the start of the meet, the Greyhounds honored Mitchell, Steere and Werner as the first senior class for the two-year old swimming program
