BOYDS, Md. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team completed the three-day 2023 Landmark Conference Championships in seventh place as the Greyhounds set two more school records on the final day of competition at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center.
How It Happened
- Senior Jaelyn Mitchell qualified for the "B" finals in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:28.66, and she swam a time of 2:29.21 in the finals to garner six points
- Sophomore Sarah Mazzetti set the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke preliminaries with a time of 3:00.77 to qualify for the "B" finals where she posted a time of 3:01.20 to earn one point
- Sophomore Catie Lovett recorded a school record time of 57.82 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries
- Senior Marissa Werner posted PR time of 1:00.82 in the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries
- Senior Sydney Steere also recorded a PR time of 1:04.50 in the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries
- The 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Steere, Mazzetti, Mitchell and Lovett swam a time of 4:03.26 in the final event of the championships to score 24 points
- The Hounds finished seventh place with 104 points
