DelCasale Wins 10K to Lead Greyhounds at Coach P Open

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team had six competitors on the opening day of the annual Coach P Open at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field Friday with sophomore Claire DelCasale winning the 10,000-meter run.

DelCasale won the race with an ECAC qualifying time of 39:39.00 while sophomore Jessie Goldberg was third in 40:49.59.

In the javelin, one of two throwing events on Friday, sophomore Allissa Hoffman placed sixth with a throw of 32.37 meters (106 feet, two inches) while freshman Karlee Corvasce was eighth with a distance of 31.38 meters (102 feet, 11 inches). Freshman Tyler Clore took 12th overall at 28.79 meters (94 feet, five inches) while sophomore Jenny Kratch was 19th with a toss of 25.17 meters (82 feet, seven inches).

Kratch also placed ninth in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 37.54 meters (123 feet, two inches) while Clore was 26th at 21.56 meters (70 feet, nine inches).

The second day of the Coach P Open will start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field.
