Junior Connor Morro honored as Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior Connor Morro has been honored as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Morro made a pair of appearances on the same day of the Greyhounds trip to the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida. He tossed five innings over the two relief appearance, allowing just three hits, an unearned run and a walk while striking out seven batters. Morro tossed three innings with just a hit and five strikeouts in a 2-1 loss to No. 21 Misericordia University. Morro came back in the second game of the day to earn the victory in Moravian's 4-2, 11-inning win over Baldwin-Wallace University with two hits, an unearned run, a walk and two strikeouts.

"Connor had an exceptional week against very talented teams," noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "He was in command of all of his pitches, had confidence, and lead the way. He has become a very good pitcher through his own hard work and dedication over the past two years. This past week....it paid off for him. Connor is very deserving of this honor. I'm certain he'll share it with his team."

The Greyhounds are scheduled to begin their 2019 Landmark Conference season with a three-game series at Drew University with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 16 beginning at 12:30 p.m. and a single game on Sunday, March 17 starting at 12:00 p.m. in Madison, New Jersey.
