Moravian College baseball begins 2019 Landmark Conference on May 10.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College baseball team heads to the 2019 Landmark Conference Tournament on Friday, May 10 when the second seeded Greyhounds take on third seed The Catholic University of America in the second game of the double-elimination tournament being hosted by The University of Scranton at Charles J. Volpe Family Field.

First pitch of the game is slated for 7:00 p.m. Top seed Susquehanna and the fourth seeded Royals will play the first game on Friday at 3:30 p.m. The tournament will run through Sunday, May 12 with the winner receiving the conference's automatic berth to the 2019 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors while children under 10 and all Landmark Conference students, faculty and staff with ID are free. The Greyhounds, under the direction of 13th-year head coach Paul Engelhardt who has a career mark of 291-235-1, have posted a 20-19-1 overall record this spring. Moravian recorded a 12-6 slate in the Landmark regular season, and Engelhardt has the program in the postseason for the tenth time. The Hounds enter the tournament hitting .300 with 407 hits, 82 doubles, 14 triples, 12 home runs and 50 stolen bases.

Senior infielder/pitcher Evan Kulig leads the Hounds with a .372 average to go with 58 hits, 35 runs, 14 doubles, three triples, a homer, seven stolen bases and 30 RBIs while junior second baseman Ian Csencsits has a .364 average, 55 hits, 41 runs, 10 doubles, four triples and 21 RBIs. Junior outfielder Carmine Palummo is hitting .311 and has added 41 hits, 23 runs, seven doubles, two triples, nine stolen bases and 17 RBIs while senior outfielder Mike Mittl has a .320 average, 40 hits, 16 runs, seven doubles, two triples, a homer, eight stolen bases and 27 RBIs.

Senior third baseman Tim Heard is hitting .331 to go along with 40 hits, 32 runs, eight doubles, a triple, three homers, five stolen bases and 24 RBIs while senior outfielder Austin Markowski has 39 hits, 35 runs, 12 doubles, a triple, four homers, eight stolen bases and 29 RBIs. Sophomore shortstop Michael Miceli has contributed a .303 average, 30 hits, 17 runs, three doubles, a triple, five stolen bases and 11 RBIs while sophomore outfielder Thomas Philipps has 22 hits, 12 runs, six doubles and 15 RBIs. Senior catcher Chase Rogers has 15 hits, nine runs, two doubles, a home run and five RBIs while sophomore first baseman Brett Moyer has 16 hits, six runs, five doubles, a home run and 18 RBIs.

Freshman first baseman AJ Brosious has added 10 hits, seven runs, a double, a home run and 10 RBIs while freshman third baseman David Bertolotti has 11 hits, two runs, a double and six RBIs. Junior catcher Ian Luberti has nine hits, four runs and five RBIs while senior catcher Andrew Koenig has eight hits, eight runs, seven RBIs and four doubles and freshman shortstop Royce Frazier has five hits, four runs and three RBIs.

Freshman outfielder Robert Roman has three hits with two doubles and two RBIs while senior infielder Joey Ferolie has three hits. Freshman infielder Elias Engelhardt and junior infielder Kole Rodrigues each have one hit while freshman catcher Leo Andreoli has scored one run.

Senior pitcher Tyler Caraway has a 6-1 mark with a save, a 2.03 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 31 innings while senior pitcher Brendon Caraway has tossed 43.1 innings with 30 strikeouts and a 2-3 mark. Junior pitcher Connor Morro has a 2-2 record, two saves and 31 strikeouts in 28.2 innings while sophomore pitcher Rodney Berger has a pair of saves and 10 strikeouts in 16.1 innings.

Kulig has a 3-2 mark and 63 strikeouts in 63.2 innings while senior pitcher Rhett Jacoby is 2-2 with 43 strikeouts in 47 innings. Freshman pitcher Eddie Olsen has tossed 49.1 innings with a save, a 3-4 mark and 39 strikeouts while freshman pitcher Scott Poulson is 1-1 with 23 strikeouts in 33.1 innings.

Sophomore pitcher Kyle Serman has tossed eight innings with six strikeouts while senior pitcher Kevin Shields has four strikeouts in 5.1 innings. Freshman pitcher Kyle Petsch also has four strikeouts in 4.1 innings of action while sophomore Kevin Brandt has one strikeout in four innings and senior pitcher Billy Roethke has one strikeout in 3.2 innings.
