Brendon Caraway selected as Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Brendon Caraway has been selected as the Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Caraway picked up two of Moravian's four wins in a 4-1 week for the Greyhounds, which was the first half of a 10-game home stand that included a Landmark Conference series sweep of Elizabethtown College. Caraway had a 0.00 ERA, eight strikeouts, three hits and six walks over nine innings in his two appearances. He earned a win in relief in the Greyhounds' 4-2 win over Montclair State University with four strikeouts in two innings of action. Caraway then tossed the first seven innings in Moravian's 13-2 series opening win over Elizabethtown with three hits, six walks and four more strikeouts.

"Brendon had another good week and continues to build off of his performance from the week before," noted Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "He was a big reason for our success this weekend against Elizabethtown. We look for him to continue to grow during the rest of his senior season, and look forward to his future success on and off the field."

The Blue and Grey are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 27 when the team plays the sixth contest in a 10-game home stand with Penn State Berks coming to Gillepsie Field for a 4:00 p.m. first pitch.
