Men's Soccer Falls to #20 Susquehanna

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College men's soccer team fell to Landmark Conference foe and nationally-ranked No. 20 Susquehanna University, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders struck first in the 18th minute with goal from junior defender Patrick Fry off a quick pass from senior midfielder Daniel Sosa. Freshman midfielder Samuel Tana added to the Susquehanna lead when he shot just past the goalies reach for a 2-0 lead in the 36th minute.

The Crusaders added a goal in the 49th minute to go up 3-0. The Greyhounds had a chance to get on the board in the 70th minute with back-to-back shots from senior forward John Pavia and junior defender Jeffrey Algor. Susquehanna would close out the contest, and win 4-0 after a late goal.

Senior goalie Mike Brand tallied 11 saves in the loss. Senior goalie Matt Salsman earned the victory for Susquehanna while splitting time with sophomore Zach Zoller.

This contest wraps up the 2012 Moravian College men's soccer campaign.
