Lubben Selected Corvias ECAC DIII South Rookie of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. --- Moravian College freshman midfielder Brett Lubben has been selected as the Corvias ECAC Division III South Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for his performance last week.

Lubben helped the Greyhounds to a 1-0-1 record last week that included a 3-3, double-overtime tie versus Delaware Valley College and a 1-0 victory over The Catholic University of America, which was the Hounds' first Landmark Conference victory since 2010, snapping a 24-match conference losing streak.

Lubben had the first goal for Moravian in the match versus Delaware Valley to help start a second half comeback that saw the squad go from down 2-0 to up 3-2 in a span of 18 and a half minutes. Lubben took a total of three shots in the two matches, and he was on the field for 113 minutes last week.

"We want to congratulate to Brett for being named the ECAC Rookie of the Week for the South Region," stated Head Coach Todd Ervin. "Brett has been outstanding for us in the midfield this year, and I am expecting great things from him as his development continues."

Moravian is set to host Landmark Conference newcomer Elizabethtown College in a conference match on Saturday, October 4 beginning at 1:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad.
