Men's Soccer Falls to Drew

Bethlehem, Pa.--- The Moravian College men's soccer team traveled to Drew University Saturday for a Landmark Conference show down with berths in the Landmark Tournament to be determined.

The Greyhound took a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute when senior midfielder Chris Gomez blasted a shot into the right corner of the net. The Rangers would bounce back tying things in the 41st minute sending the teams to halftime tied 1-1.

In the second half, Drew took a 2-1 lead on a penalty kick in the 74th minute and would extend the lead again to 3-1 in the 77th minute. Freshman defender Ryan Bartel made it a close 3-2 game in the 84th minute after the ball bounced around in the box, finishing in the ball into the right corner of the net for his fourth goal of the season. However it wasn't enough as the Rangers put another goal in the 87th minute to win 4-2 and keep the Hounds out of the postseason.

Junior goalkeeper Brian Boland made eight saves in the match for the Greyhounds putting him at 102 saves for the year.
