CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad fell to host DeSales University, 4-0, in non-conference action Friday evening.
How It Happened
- The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the sixth minute, and DeSales added another goal in the ninth minute to lead 2-0 after 15 minutes of action
- DeSales would add a goal in the second quarter and one in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring
- The Greyhounds' best opportunity to score came with a minute and a half to play when senior midfielder Sarah Bietka was stopped on a penalty stroke attempt
Inside the Numbers
- Freshman goalie Maia Machado recorded 11 saves in her first career start
- DeSales had a 22-8 advantage in shots including 15-5 on the cage
