Hounds Top Lycoming for Second Consecutive Landmark Conference Win on Senior Day

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad earned its second consecutive Landmark Conference victory, defeating visiting Lycoming College, 2-0, on John Makuvek Field as the squad celebrated Senior Day.

How It Happened

  • The match was scoreless through the first quarter and the first 12 minutes of the second period
  • The Hounds got on the scoreboard with 2:55 left in the second quarter as junior forward Sydney Anderson took a pass from senior forward Bekkah Kehoe and put it into the cage
  • The contest remained 1-0 until the final minute when Anderson netted an unassisted goal to finish the scoring

Inside the Numbers

  • Anderson scored her first two goals of the season, and she now has 29 career goals while Kehoe recorded her first assist of the year and fourth of her career
  • Freshman goalie Maia Machado did not face a shot in the first shutout of her career
  • Moravian had a 20-0 advantage in shots and an 11-0 edge in penalty corners
  • Prior to the start of the match, the Greyhounds honored their six seniors – Kehoe, senior midfielder Sarah Bietka, Hanna Leto, Onalee Long, Jenna Segrave and Maria Tice
