GENEVA, N.Y. --- Moravian University senior midfielder Sarah Bietka has been selected to the 2023 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-Region V Second Team.

Bietka, who made the Landmark All-Conference First Team this fall, helped Moravian to a 9-9 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the Landmark Conference regular season. The Greyhounds entered the postseason as the fourth seed and defeated Elizabethtown College, 2-1 in double overtime, to reach the conference semifinals for the third consecutive year.

Bietka scored five goals and a pair of assists this season for the Greyhounds. Bietka finished her career with 13 goals and seven assists for 33 points, and she netted four game-winning goals for the Blue & Grey including one in 2023.

"We are extremely proud of Sarah for being named Second Team All-Region. She is an incredibly consistent player who has significantly impacted the growth of the Moravian Field Hockey Program. I'm extremely pleased that she is receiving the recognition she deserves," explained fourth year Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who was in her third season on the field due to the pandemic.

Bietka is the fourth Greyhound to receive NFHCA All-Region accolades joining Sydney Anderson in 2022, Ava Edwards in 2021 and Amy Jo Crawley in 1996.
