Hounds Fall to No. 20 Catholic in Landmark Conference Action

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad fell to No. 20 The Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action on windy and rainy John Makuvek Field Saturday. 

How It Happened

  • The Cardinals needed just 58 seconds to take a 1-0 lead in the contest
  • Catholic added a goal in the 24th minute to hold a 2-0 edge at the intermission
  • The Cardinals finished the scoring in the 33rd minute of action

Inside the Numbers

  • Freshman goalie Maia Machado posted five saves in the contest
  • Catholic held a 12-6 advantage in shots and an 8-6 edge in penalty corners
