Moravian Falls to DeSales in Non-Conference Action

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's lacrosse team fell to DeSales University, 18-6, in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Wednesday afternoon.

The Greyhounds had five different players score a goal in the match with sophomore attack Griffin LeBlond netting a pair of goals. Junior attack Connor Hull had a goal, an assist and three ground balls for the Hounds while freshman attack Brennan Harhart, junior midfielder Matt Comini and sophomore attack Connor James each scored one goal. Senior midfielder Austin Adams and senior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke both added an assist with Schicke adding seven ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Senior goalie MacLean Lincoln recorded five saves in 30 minutes of action while senior goalie Will Dadouris had eight saves in 30 minutes. Junior midfielder Max Towers was 12-for-19 on face-offs with six ground balls for the Blue and Grey while sophomore Ben Walek went 3-for-7 with three ground balls. Senior attack Cade Siddron, junior defender Tanner Leslie, freshman midfielder Shane Cassel and sophomore midfielder Nick Nolder each scooped up three ground balls.

DeSales netted the first two goals before Hull and LeBlond had back-to-back goals to knot the score at 2-2 with 8:07 left in the first quarter. The Bulldogs tallied two more goals for a 4-2 edge after 15 minutes of action, and DeSales scored all eight goals in the second quarter to lead 12-2 at the intermission.

LeBlond and James netted goals in the third quarter for Moravian while Harhart and Comini scored in the fourth quarter.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Monday, March 9 when the squad hosts Alfred (N.Y.) University in a non-conference match beginning at 3:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field, the third contest in a five-match homestand.
