Moravian Honors 2020 Men's Lacrosse Seniors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- With their 2020 season cancelled after five matches by COVID-19, the Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation today honors the nine senior members of the Greyhounds' men's lacrosse squad that missed out on their Senior Day.

The group helped the Greyhounds to 23 wins in their four seasons.

Senior defender Brian Anthony played in 29 career matches with eight starts, and he contributed 16 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Brian, who made Moravian's Dean's List once, is the son of Sherry and Brian Anthony, and he is majoring in business management at Moravian.

"Brian has played in over 25 matches in his career as a defenseman and become a vocal leader down low," commented Head Coach Dave Carty. "His physicality and leadership have been key in the development of our defense."

Senior goalie Will Dadouris played in 19 career matches with five starts, and he posted a school record 9.13 goals-against average with 119 saves, which is sixth in program history, in 559 minutes in goal. John, who is graduating in three years, was a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. He is also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society made the Dean's List four times. John is the son of Lisa and Jim Dadouris, and he is majoring in biology with minors in economics and management at Moravian.

"Will has been a hard worker and has been constant in goal for the Greyhounds," explained Carty. "He is an incredible student and leader off the field, being a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee executive board and running an extremely successful charity off the field."

Senior defender Brian Darling saw action in 31 matches with 11 career starts to go, and he contributed one assist, 35 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. Brian, who made Moravian's Dean's List once, is the son of Rebecca and Neil Darling, and he is majoring in economics with a minor in management at Moravian.

"Brian has been a hard-working and tough defenseman for the Hounds, whether starting or coming off the bench," Carty said. "Brian had been consistent and reliable for the Greyhounds."

Senior attack Kevin Darling scored three nine goals and three assists to go with 10 ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in 22 career matches with three starts. Kevin is the son of Rebecca and Neil Darling, and he is majoring in sociology – crime, law and society with a minor in computer science at Moravian.

"Kevin played in 22 matches for the Greyhounds and has been on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Board for the last three years," Carty stated. "An incredible leader, Kevin has excelled on the field and in the classroom."

Senior midfielder Peter Degnan played in 41 career matches with seven starts, and he contributed one goal, one assist, 60 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. Peter is the son of Laurie and Peter Degnan, and he is majoring in business at Moravian.

"A three-year starter at defensive midfield, Pete has always been a tough hard nose player that hustles every play," Carty explained. "Fearless on the field, Pete was always physical and hardworking on the Field. He brings a true-blue collar mentality to our team."

Senior goalie MacLean Lincoln played 12 career matches with 10 starts in goal, and he posted an 11.25 goals-against average, that ranks third in school history, with 77 saves, which is seventh in program history, and a 4-4 record in 469 minutes of action. MacLean is the son of Christina and Patrick Lincoln, and he is majoring in organizational leadership at Moravian.

"A steady goalie for the Greyhounds with the ability to control a game, MacLean will be missed by the Hounds," noted Carty. "A technically sound goalie, MacLean was a good leader inside the pipes."

Senior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke started all 43 career matches, and he recorded three goals and four assists for seven points to go with 164 ground balls, which ranks eighth in program history, 64 caused turnovers and 17 face-off wins. Jimmy was selected to the 2017 and 2019 Landmark All-Conference First Team while making the Second Team in 2018, and he was also named to the 2017 ECAC Division III South All-Star Second Team. Jimmy is the son of Nancy and Jim Schicke, and he is majoring in economics with a minor in management at Moravian.

"Since his first season on campus, Jim has been an All-Conference player for us," stated Carty. "Physical and skilled, Jim had been an incredible asset to the team in a number of roles. He plays the wing and is great on ground balls. He's also capable of shutting down the opposing team's best midfielder."

Senior attack Cade Siddron played in 41 career matches with 34 starts, and he is fifth in school history with 84 goals to go along with 48 assists, which ranks third all-time, for 132 points, which is third in program history. Cade also contributed 58 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. Cade is the son of Jeff Siddron and Mary Keller, and he is majoring in management at Moravian.

"Cade has been a two-year captain that has been a great scoring threat for us," noted Carty. "Leading the Landmark Conference in points as a junior, Cade placed fifth all time as a goal scorer for us."

Senior midfielder Brandon Sisk played in 35 matches during his career with one start, and he contributed 11 goals and an assist to go with 22 ground balls and one caused turnover. Brandon, who made Moravian's Dean's List twice, is the son of Francine Luce and Doug Sisk, and he is majoring in marketing management with a minor in finance at Moravian.

"Brandon is a great shooter and a dynamic midfielder for the Greyhounds," stated Carty. "Strong and physical, Brandon is a good two-way midfielder who was a staple at the midfield for the Greyhounds."
