Hounds Select Pisani & Szaro as 2021-22 Men's Tennis Captains

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis team has selected juniors Kieran Pisani and Justin Szaro as team captains for the 2021-22 season.

"I am proud to announce that Justin and Kieran have been selected as co-captains for our men's team this year," commented first-year Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas, who is in her eighth year working with the Greyhounds. "They each have a unique leadership style and I am looking forward to working with these two student-athletes to lead a young and talented team this year."

Pisani has posted six singles victories in 15 career matches, and he also has six doubles wins in his career in 16 contests.

Szaro has played first singles for Moravian in his first two seasons with an 8-8 mark, and he has six doubles victories in 16 matches in his career. Szaro was also named to the 2021 Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll and as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete in both 2020 and 2021.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to start the fall portion of the 2021-22 season on Sunday, September 26 with a non-conference match versus Alvernia University beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Hoffman Tennis Courts.
