IMMACULATA, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis team squad improved to 2-0 on the season with a 7-2 victory at Immaculata University Saturday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the doubles action. The tandem of juniors Andrew Hozza and Kieran Pisani got Moravian on the scoreboard first with an 8-0 win at third doubles, and then the duo of junior Justin Szaro and freshman Ronny Pimentel Ferrer posted an 8-4 victory at second doubles
- The Blue and Grey won five of the six singles matches to earn the team win. Freshman Zachary Lebby was off the courts first with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at third singles
- Freshman Anthony Ronca made it a 4-1 match with a 6-0, 6-4 win at first singles while Pimental Ferrer earned the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles
- Pisani made it 6-2 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles while sophomore Steve Schneider earned the final point of the match with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at sixth singles
