TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Anthony Ronca has been named as the 2022 Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year while making the All-Conference First Team in singles and the Second Team in doubles, and he was joined on the All-Conference Second Team in doubles by freshman Wyatt Marshall.

The duo helped the Greyhounds to an 8-7 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the Landmark Conference regular season.

Ronca, who is the first Greyhound to receive Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year accolades, posted an 8-6 record while playing first singles in his debut season. Ronca and Marshall combined for a 6-6 doubles record including a 5-4 slate at first doubles.

"I'm really happy for Anthony to be recognized as the Rookie of the Year, All-Conference 1st Team singles and 2nd Team doubles," stated Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "He had a good first year, and he played at the No. 1 spot for us and played against every school's best. He showed great promise this season and I can't wait to see what's next for him over the next three seasons."

Marshall, who joined the Greyhounds after the fall portion of the season, was 7-2 in singles action with a 6-2 slate at fifth singles.

"A well-deserved recognition in doubles for our freshman Wyatt," noted Freitas. "Wyatt only joined our team this past January and he immediately made an impact on and off the court. He played an important role in our team's success this year. I know he will continue to get better over the next three years here at Moravian."
