TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Anthony Ronca has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Ronca, who earned his second conference honor of the season helped the Greyhounds to a 9-0 sweep at Elizabethtown College with victories at first singles and first doubles with partner and fellow freshman Wyatt Marshall.
"Anthony has a big challenge playing at #1 singles and doubles as a freshman," stated Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas. "I am very happy that he was recognized as Athlete of the Week again as he is working extremely hard to improve his playing style and mental game."
The Hounds, who are 7-5 overall and 2-2 in Landmark Conference action, are slated to return to the courts on Saturday, April 23 when the team hosts Juniata College in a Landmark Conference contest starting at 1:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
