CLERMONT, Fla. --- The Moravian College softball team completed its trip to the PFX Spring games at the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida on Friday, defeating Lebanon Valley College, 5-3, and Plymouth State (N.H.) University, 9-5.

Agrapides led off the bottom of the first with a single, and junior catcher Brooke Wehr hit a one-out single to put runners on the corners for Bieber, who connected on a three-run homer to left field, her first home run of the season and the third of her career, for a 3-0 lead.

The Blue and Grey pushed the advantage to 4-0 with a run in the bottom of the second frame when senior outfielder Samantha O'Keefe drew a leadoff walk and eventually raced home on a passed ball. The Greyhounds added an insurance run for a 5-0 edge in the bottom of the fourth when senior first baseman Lauren Goetz had a leadoff single and scored on an RBI single off of Agrapides bat.

The Flying Dutchmen scored three times in the top of the sixth inning with a pair of home runs before Hummel came in to close the door.

Moravian knocked out 13 hits in the victory over Plymouth State with Goetz going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs. Bieber was 2-for-3 in the contest while Agrapides, Scheeler and Wehr were all 2-for-5 with Agrapides hitting her first career home run to go with two RBIs and a double. Scheeler started in the circle and had two strikeouts in 2.1 innings of action while senior Paige Lesher improved to 4-1 with two strikeouts in the final 4.2 innings.

The Blue and Grey took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Wehr scored on an RBI single from Scheeler. The Hounds pushed the lead to 3-0 in the top of the second when Agrapides drove in Goetz with an RBI double and senior center fielder Emily Stanilious had an RBI sacrifice fly to score sophomore right fielder Victoria Smith.

Plymouth State scored all five of its runs in the bottom of the third inning to move ahead 5-3.

Moravian responded with three runs in the top of the fourth frame to retake the lead at 6-5. Stanilious reached on an error after two outs before Wehr singled and Bieber drew a walk to load the bases. Scheeler ripped a three-RBI double to clear the bases and put the Hounds ahead for good. The Hounds added two runs in the top of the sixth when Goetz crossed the plate on an error and Agrapides scored on an RBI double from Stanilious.

Agrapides finished off the scoring when she led off the top of the seventh with a solo home run, the first of her collegiate career.
