Salvatore Named Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore attack Jackie Salvatore has been named as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Salvatore had seven goals and 11 assists to lead the Greyhounds in scoring during a 2-1 week. She also had 11 ground balls, five draw controls and four caused turnovers, and Salvatore scored on 7-of-13 shots and added a game-winning goal. She had three goals, five assists and four ground balls in a 16-6 win over Bridgewater before posting two goals, a career-high six assists, three ground balls and three draw controls in a 20-13 win at NAIA No. 5 SCAD. Salvatore finished the week with two goals, four ground balls, three ground balls and two draw controls in a 12-11 loss at Widener University.

"Jackie works incredibly hard and selflessly, giving full speed and effort from beginning to end of each game and practice," commented Head Coach Caroline Pape. "She is a role model, proving to be a force that is hard to outwork or outsmart."

The Greyhounds, who are 2-2 on the year, are slated to return to action on Wednesday, March 8 when the squad hosts Montclair State University in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
