Dalickas Honored as ECAC DIII South Player of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. --- Senior first baseman Jenn Dalickas from the Moravian College softball team has been honored as the Corvias ECAC Division III Softball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Dalickas, who was also selected as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for softball, connected on eight hits in 11 at-bats last week as the Greyhounds swept four Landmark Conference games and extended the team's winning streak to 14 games. Five of her eight hits went for doubles to give Dalickas a 1.182 slugging percentage for the week, and she added eight RBIs and scored six times on her own as Moravian scored 37 runs in its four games. Dalickas had an .824 on-base percentage after she drew six walks to reach base a total of 14 times in 17 plate appearances.

In the final game of the week at Drew University, Dalickas tied Tracey Holland, Janelle Brey and Justina Black for the school record with three doubles in a game when she went 3-for-3 with three doubles in the 13-5 victory.

"Jenn has been very steady to begin the season, and she has settled in to a good groove with her swing to score runners on base in run producing situations," commented Head Coach John Byrne.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 9 when the squad hosts rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference doubleheader at Blue & Grey Field in Bethlehem. First pitch of the Matte Award twinbill is slated for 3:00 p.m.
