Dalickas Selected to NFCA All-America First Team

SALEM, Va. --- Moravian College senior first baseman Jenn Dalickas has been named to the 2015 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America First Team announced Wednesday evening at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championship Banquet in Salem, Virginia prior to the start of the Division III World Series on Thursday.

Dalickas, who was a Second Team All-American in 2014, becomes Moravian's third First Team All-American and third multiple All-American award winner as she joins Heather Bortz '05 and Meagan Hennessy '06 in both groups. Bortz was a three-time All-American while Hennessy was a two-time honoree, and both players made the First Team in 2004 in the Greyhounds' first trip to the World Series that ended with a national runner-up performance.

"What a great honor for Jenn to cap off a truly outstanding collegiate softball career," commented 22-year Head Coach John Byrne. "She will certainly go down as one of the best players we have had here at Moravian College. She was a pleasure to coach and I am very proud of her accomplishments both on the field and in the classroom. You do not replace these types of players."

Dalickas earned NFCA/Louisville Slugger First Team All-Region honors for the fourth consecutive season last week but the first time in the Atlantic Region in 2015 as Moravian was switched from the East to the Atlantic this spring.

She helped the Greyhounds post a 38-8 overall record this season under Byrne, who as a career mark of 713-221. The squad was 11-1 in the Landmark Conference regular season action as Moravian went on to capture its sixth Landmark Tournament title and 14th conference championship. The Hounds, who played in the postseason for the 21st consecutive spring, won the Rochester (N.Y.) Regional before falling in the NCAA Division III Super Regionals at DePauw University last weekend.

Dalickas, who also earned Landmark All-Conference First Team for a fourth straight spring and was the 2015 and 2014 Landmark Conference Player of the Year, led Moravian with a .465 batting average to go along with 53 hits, 44 runs, 14 doubles, nine home runs, 34 RBIs, 94 total bases, an .825 slugging percentage, a school record 52 walks and a school record .642 on-base percentage. Dalickas, who played first base for the second straight spring after being an outfielder as a freshman and a designated player as a sophomore, had 265 putouts and 11 assists in the field.

Dalickas tied or set 14 school records including career marks for home runs (35), total bases (373), slugging percentage (.804), walks (89), on-base percentage (.535) and doubles (53 – tied with Janelle Brey '04).
