Mack Honored as Landmark Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior second baseman Lizzie Mack has been honored as the Landmark Conference Softball Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Mack hit .462 in four games last week as she collected six hits in 13 at-bats. Mack had three multi-hit games with three doubles and one home run for a .923 slugging percentage, and she also reached base once on a hit by pitch for a .467 on-base percentage. Mack drove in eight runs for the week including five in the Greyhounds' 7-3 win over rival Muhlenberg College that she won with a grand slam in the sixth inning, and Mack also scored three times. In the field, Mack had six putouts and seven assists in 14 chances at her second base position.

"Lizzie has been hitting the ball hard all season but early on it was right at people," stated Head Coach John Byrne. "Those balls have started falling in for hits recently, and she has really been a clutch hitter in some spots to get us runs to win a few games."

Moravian, which is 16-4 overall, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 14 in a non-conference doubleheader at DeSales University beginning at 3:30 p.m.
