Hounds Continue Competition at USTA-ITA Southeast Regional

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team completed its trip to the 2014 United States Tennis Association-Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional hosted by The University of Mary Washington Sunday.

Junior Courtnie Lambert and freshman Caitlin Adams competed in the semifinals of their singles flights Sunday. Lambert, playing in the Blue 4 Singles, fell to Kait Brogan from host Mary Washington in straight sets while Adams dropped a straight sets semifinal contest to Stuart Lemay from Dickinson College in the Blue 7 Singles. Lambert and Adams did combine to win their first round consolation match in the Blue 3 doubles flight before ending the tournament with a loss in the consolation semifinals.

Senior Sophia Osbourne won her opening match in the consolation rounds of the Blue 3 Singles before falling in the consolation semifinals in a pro-set.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Thursday, September 25 when the squad welcomes NCAA Division II East Stroudsburg University to Hoffman Courts for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match.
