Eady Named Landmark Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College sophomore Brittney Eady has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Eady helped the Greyhounds to a 9-0 sweep of Arcadia University in the team's only action over the last seven days. Eady opened the match by posting an 8-1 win at first doubles with partner junior Brijelle Hudock, and Eady also had a 6-1, 6-2 straight sets victory at first singles to finish off the contest.

"Brittney played her best tennis of the fall season against Arcadia in both singles and doubles," commented Head Coach Art Smith. "After a brief layoff following ITA's due to some physical difficulties, she led our team to a strong showing against Arcadia. Our players were aggressive in doubles and it carried over to our singles play."

Moravian, 2-0, on the year, has completed the fall portion of its 2014-15 season. The Greyhounds will return to action with a trip to Orlando, Florida during Spring Break beginning on March 7, 2015.
