Women's Tennis Falls to Scranton in Spring Home Opener

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to the University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action in the Hounds first match of the 2015 spring season at Hoffman Courts Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after the doubles matches with junior Courtnie Lambert and freshman Caitlin Adams earning an 8-5 victory at third doubles in the first contest to finish. Moravian nearly had a lead after doubles as senior Sophia Osbourne and freshman Skylar Oliwa forced an extra game at second doubles before falling 9-7.

Lambert would earn a three-set victory at fourth singles while sophomore Roberta Scantlebury forced a third set in her sixth singles match as well.

Moravian will be right back in action on Sunday, April 12 as the squad welcomes Juniata College to Hoffman Courts for another Landmark Conference match starting at 1:00 p.m.
