Women's Tennis Drops Decision to Juniata

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team was unable to hold a lead after doubles, falling to Juniata College, 5-4, in Landmark Conference action at Hoffman Courts Sunday.

The Greyhounds opened an early lead by winning all three doubles contests. Senior Sophia Osbourne and freshman Skylar Oliwa picked up the first point with an 8-1 victory at second doubles while sophomores Brittney Eady and Roberta Scantlebury had an 8-6 triumph at first doubles to make it 2-0. Junior Courtnie Lambert and freshman Caitlin Adams finished off the sweep with an 8-5 win at third doubles.

Juniata won the first singles match to finish before Eady earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory at first singles for the Hounds. However, the Eagles would win the last four singles contests to earn the victory.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Wednesday, April 15 in a Landmark Conference match at Drew University starting at 4:00 p.m.
