Women's Tennis Falls to Catholic in Landmark Opener

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team opened its 2015 Landmark Conference season with a 7-2 loss at The Catholic University of America Saturday.

The Greyhounds trailed 2-1 after doubles action as the tandem of junior Courtnie Lambert and freshman Caitlin Adams posted a 9-8 (10-1) win at third doubles.

Lambert added a three-set, 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-3) win at fourth singles for the Hounds other point. Sophomore Brittney Eady won the first set of her match at first singles but ended up falling in three sets.

Moravian, 4-3 overall this season, will return to action on Sunday, March 29 in a Landmark Conference match at Elizabethtown College at 1:00 p.m.
