BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer squad scored a pair of goals in less than a minute and then held off Penn State Abington, 2-1, in non-conference action Saturday on John Makuvek Field.
How It Happened
- The squads played a scoreless first half
- The Hounds broke the stalemate in the 60th minute when senior defender Cole Stevens put a shot into the goal off a loose ball in the 18-yard box
- Just 39 seconds later, senior forward Ben Scary extended the advantage to 2-0 as he put in a crossing pass from senior midfielder Hunter Shay
- The Lions cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 76th minute with a goal
Inside the Numbers
- Stevens' goal was his first of the season and his career while Scary recorded his third marker of 2024 and 14th goal of his career
- Shay notched his second assist of the year and 11th of his career
- Graduate student goalie Christian Beebe recorded four saves for his first win of the season
