Joint Earns Landmark Field Athlete of the Week Honors

TOWSON, Md. --- Junior jumper Kristopher Joint (Bethlehem, Pa./Parkland HS) of the Moravian College men's track & field team has been named the first Landmark Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the 2012-13 season for his performance last week.

Joint won the triple jump at the non-scoring Lehigh University Season Opener last Friday evening with a school record distance of 14.57 meters (47 feet, 9 ¾ inches).  The distance bettered his previous best, which is tied for ninth in school history by more than 19 inches.  Joint had the Landmark Conference record leap of 14.03 meters (46 feet, ½ inch) last March at the 2012 ECAC Division III Indoor Championships.

The Greyhounds are not scheduled to return to action until Friday, January 18th when they travel to the Orange & Maroon Classic being hosted by Susquehanna University.
