Myers & Lorah Named Landmark Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Freshman sprinter/jumper Albert Myers and junior thrower Timothy Lorah of the Moravian College men's outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performance last week.

Myers was seventh in the 100-meter dash at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet in a ECAC qualifying time of 11.06 seconds, which is tied for 38th on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list that will have the top 20 individuals and top 16 relay teams at the end of the season in each event heading to the NCAA Division III National Championships at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and Myers finished tied for tenth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.68 seconds. He placed third at 6.38 meters (20 feet, 11 ¼ inches), and Myers ran a leg of Moravian's 4x100-meter relay team that was seventh in an ECAC qualifying time of 43.57 seconds.

Lorah was second in the javelin with an ECAC qualifying mark of 64.16 meters (210 feet, six inches), a distance that puts him second on the TFRRS list. The Greyhounds finished sixth of eight teams at the meet last Saturday.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 5th in the opening day of the Sam Howell Memorial Invitational hosted by Princeton University.
