Donchez Captures Men's 10K at Coach P Open

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's track & field team hosted three events to begin the Coach P Open at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field Friday, and Greyhound senior Jacob Donchez won the 10,000-meter run.

Donchez had an ECAC qualifying time of 32:10.69 to win the event, which is the seventh best time in school history, while freshman Jeremy Rigotti placed seventh at 35:15.55.

Senior Phillip Torres and sophomore Jeffrey Gallagher also competed in the hammer throw. Torres was tenth in the event at 4.01 meters (131 feet, three inches) while Gallagher placed 15th with a toss of 36.87 meters (120 feet, 11 inches).

The second day of the Coach P Open will start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field.
