Myers Leads Men at Swarthmore Final Qualifying Meet

CHESTER, Pa. --- Freshman Albert Myers had a pair of top ten finishes on the track to lead the Moravian College men's track & field team at the non-scoring Swarthmore College Final Qualifying Meet Monday evening at Widener University's Leslie C. Quirk Stadium.

Myers was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 22.78 seconds, and he placed ninth in the 100-meter dash in 11.31 seconds. Sophomore Travis Dorsa was 14th in the 400-meter dash in 51.63 seconds, and he took 18th in the 200-meter dash in 23.68 seconds.

Freshman Ryan Karnopp had the Greyhounds top individual finish, placing third in the pole vault at a height of 4.32 meters (14 feet, two inches) while sophomore Chris Ossont was sixth in the triple jump at 13.27 meters (43 feet, 6 1/2 inches).

Sophomore Parker Munson was eighth in the discus with a toss of 38.29 meters (125 feet, seven inches) while junior Frank Yannotta was 11th at 36.43 meters (119 feet, six inches).

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Thursday and Friday, May 16th and 17th at the 2013 ECAC Division III Championships being hosted by Springfield (Mass.) College.
