Greyhounds Win Three Events in Moravian Indoor Meet

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's indoor track & field team returned to action after five weeks off by hosting the Moravian Indoor Meet at Lehigh University's Rauch Field House Saturday, and the Greyhounds won three events.

Moravian Event Winners

  • Sophomore Jordan Gagner won the 800-meter run in an indoor PR time of 1:58.95
  • Sophomore Gavin Hefferan captured first in the 5,000-meter run with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 15:15.24
  • Junior Jerome Luckey took first in the high jump at 1.85 meters (6-0.75)

Moravian Top 10 Finishers

  • Junior Bryan Kerchner was the runner-up in the 3,000-meter run in an AARTFC qualifying time of 8:38.99 while senior Owen Nahf took fourth in an AARTFC qualifying time of 8:43.02 and graduate student Casey Frank was sixth in 8:50.01
  • Senior Nathan Hajel took second in the 5,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 15:18.41 while graduate student Josh Mangini finished third in 15:43.00
  • The Greyhounds' "A" 4x400-meter relay team of senior Trevor Gray, senior Kyle Weiss, senior Jason Gartner and freshman Owen Smith combined for a runner-up finish in a time of 3:33.83 while the "B" squad of Gagner, senior Geoffrey Kleinberg, junior Joe Allegro and sophomore Jackson Royds placed fourth in 3:39.77
  • Gray placed third in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.06 seconds while junior Jacob Fenstermaker was eighth in 7.25 seconds
  • Sophomore Mael Tshiyonga took third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.84 seconds while junior Liam Maguire placed fourth in 8.94 seconds
  • Royds finished third in the 800-meter run in 2:02.81
  • Sophomore Logan Betyeman finished fifth in the mile run with a time of 4:33.81 while Allegro took ninth in 4:39.35
  • Graduate student Jeremy Goll placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.35 meters (43-9.75)
  • Sophomore Anthony Morillo finished seventh in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 13.43 meters (44-0.5)
  • Tshiyonga was also eighth in the 400-meter dash in 55.88 seconds while Maguire took tenth in 56.98 seconds
