Jerome Luckey for Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week honor

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior jumper Jerome Luckey has been named Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Luckey captured first in the high jump at the Franklin & Marshall College Coach I Invitational at an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying height of 1.92 meters (6-3.5).

"Jerome had a regional qualifying performance clearing 6' 3.5" (1.92m) in the high jump this past weekend placing first in the event," stated Assistant Jump Coach Molly Sear. "While he didn't clear 1.97, he had great attempts at that height. Our goal for Jerome is to see him on the national stage in both the indoor and outdoor NCAA championships. Our progress in practice since we opened in December gives us hope that he will end his indoor season in upstate New York against the best in the nation."

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, February 1 when the squad heads to the Ithaca (N.Y.) College Bomber Invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.
