SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's outdoor track & field team earned one event title and posted five All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks during the first day of the 2025 Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday being hosted by Susquehanna University. The Hounds hold a ten-point lead the eight teams that have scored with 67 points while the host River Hawks are second with 57 points.
Moravian Event Winners
- Graduate student Cole Stanchina won the 10,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 31:57.52 in the first track event of the meet
Moravian Scoring Finishers
- Sophomore Anthony Morillo was the runner-up in the shot put at 14.28 meters (46-10.25) while graduate student Jeremy Goll took fourth with a toss of 13.68 meters (44-10.75) and freshman Julius Reyes placed eighth at 12.71 meters (41-8.5)
- Senior Nathan Hajel finished second in the 10,000-meter run in an AARTFC qualifying time of 32:05.56 while graduate student Josh Mangini placed third in an AARTFC qualifying time of 32:21.84 and freshman Grayson Kerzmann was eighth in 34:02.33
- Morillo took third in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.62 meters (146-4) while Goll finished fourth at 42.83 meters (140-6) and Reyes placed sixth at 40.38 meters (132-5)
- Sophomore Logan Betyeman was fourth in the 1,500-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:58.08 while junior Bryan Kerchner took fifth in an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:59.06 and junior Joe Allegro placed eighth in 4:05.37
- Freshman Diego Portales finished fifth in the pole vault at a height of 3.85 meters (12-7.5)
Preliminary Events
- Senior Trevor Gray took eighth in the prelims of the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.00 seconds to qualifying for the finals on Sunday
