CENTER VALLEY, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's outdoor track & field team won seven events in the DeSales University Invitational Saturday.
Moravian Event Winners
- Sophomore Logan Betyeman took first in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:09.25
- Sophomore Anthony Morillo captured first in the shot put with a toss of 14.27 meters (46-10)
- Freshman Marcus Morales won the javelin with a distance of 49.94 meters (163-10)
- Freshman Delferson Contreras took first in the 400-meter dash in 51.71 seconds
- Junior Jacob Fenstermaker captured first in the 100-meter dash in 11.42 seconds
- Sophomore Adam Plummer won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a PR time of 10:11.43
- Freshman Julius Reyes took first in the discus with a toss of 42.59 meters (139-8)
Moravian Top 10 Finishers
- Graduate student Jeremy Goll took second in the shot put with a mark of 13.98 meters (45-1.5) while freshman Julius Reyes placed fifth at 11.88 meters (38-11.75) and freshman Dan Antar finished ninth at 11.51 meters (37-9.25)
- Goll was also the runner-up in the hammer throw with a toss of 39.19 meters (128-7) while senior Prince Sokpo took seventh at 33.06 meters (108-5) and freshman Chris Petit-Frere was eighth at 31.66 meters (103-10)
- Senior Owen Sabastro placed second in the 100-meter dash in 11.67 seconds while senior Jason Gartner was third in 11.77 seconds, freshman Chris Moore took seventh in 12.20 seconds and freshman Noah West finished tenth in 12.31 seconds
- Freshman Diego Portales was the runner-up in the pole vault at a height of 2.90 meters (9-6.25)
- Senior Geoffrey Kleinberg finished second in the 800-meter run in 2:05.65 while junior Jackson Royds took third in 2:07.30 and senior Wyatt Poniktera placed sixth in 2:15.63
- Freshman Jake Mattes took second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:20.34 while sophomore Dylan Benbow finished sixth in a PR time of 11:35.55
- Gartner was third in the 200-meter dash in a PR time of 23.37 seconds while West took ninth in 24.53 seconds
- Petit-Frere placed fourth in the discus with a mark of 38.59 meters (126-7) while Goll took fifth at 36.01 meters (118-1)
- Freshman Riley Trigo finished fifth in the 5,000-meter run in 15:48.54 while freshman Grayson Kerzmann took eight at 16:01.10
- Freshman Ricky Krouse was fourth in the javelin with a mark of 41.75 meters (136-11) while freshman Chris Downey finished eighth at 37.18 meters (121-11)
- Junior Liam Maguire placed fifth in the 110-meter high Hurdles in 19.36 seconds
- Sophomore Damian De Los Santos Suriel finished fifth in the 400-meter dash in 53.64 seconds
- Krouse also placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.68 meters (18-7.75)
- Freshman Charlie Champagne was seventh in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:27.79
