BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's lacrosse squad has named graduate student defender Keara Reilly and seniors midfielder Alex Cherenson, midfielder Madi Dippel and attack Jackie Salvatore as captains for the 2025 season.

"Jackie, Madi, Alex, and Keara (Keeks) have been leaders in this program since they arrived, constantly showing their commitment, grit, and love for the game and their teammates," commented fourth-year Head Coach Caroline Pape. "Keeks returning as a 3rd year captain is a great asset, and to have Jackie (two-year captain), Madi, and Alex back in their senior year to continue what they've been achieving on the field is exciting. As a result of their individual efforts and growth, they are stronger than ever as players and mentors. I admire this group of women in so many ways, and we are lucky to have one more year to show the impact they can continue to have on our program."

The quartet will lead a group that includes 15 student-athletes that were part of the Hounds' 8-10 squad last spring that reached the Landmark Conference Tournament for the sixth straight tournament.

Reilly is serving as a team captain for the third consecutive season. Last year, Reilly earned a spot on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team for the second straight campaign after four goals, 37 ground balls, 29 caused turnovers and two draw controls. She has started all 63 matches in her career for the Hounds with seven goals, 111 ground balls, 81 caused turnovers and five draw controls.

Cherenson made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last season with 66 goals, 11 assists, 63 draw controls, 32 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. Cherenson, who is a two-time Landmark All-Conference Second Team honoree, has started 42 of 51 career matches to go with 121 goals, 18 assists, 101 draw controls, 82 ground balls and 35 caused turnovers.

Dippel was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team a year ago after posting registering 66 points on 57 goals and nine assists to go with 79 draw controls, 45 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers. Dippel enters her senior campaign with 108 goals, 19 assists, 132 draw controls, 95 ground balls and 50 caused turnovers while starting 38 of 53 career matches.

Salvatore, who is in her second year as a captain, was honored as the 2024 Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Year and made the Landmark All-Conference First Team and Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Metro Region First Team. She has also been a two-time selection to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last in her career, and she was the 2022 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year. Salvatore had 52 goals, a school record 57 assists, 32 ground balls, 91 draw controls and 13 caused turnovers a year ago, and she has started all 54 matches in her career with 134 goals, 125 assists, 92 ground balls, 127 draw controls and 39 caused turnovers.

The Greyhounds are set to open the 2025 season on Wednesday, February 19 when the team hosts rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference contest on John Makuvek Field beginning at 4:00 p.m.
