KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Moravian University women's soccer program was named as a United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award winner on Thursday, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
The Greyhounds, under the direction of eighth-year head coach Jeff Ykoruk, finished the 2021-22 academic year with a combined grade-point average of 3.54 to be one of the 746 soccer teams (220 men, 382 women) to post a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.
This is the sixth time that the Moravian women's soccer squad has garnered this accolade, most recently in 2021, going back to 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
