Moravian Unable to Hold Early Lead in Season Finale at Goucher

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University women's soccer team jumped out to an early lead but ended up falling to host Goucher College, 2-1, in Landmark Conference action Saturday.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds took a 1-0 edge in the third minute of action as sophomore midfielder Lexi Rushatz netted an unassisted goal
  • The contest remained with the Hounds in the lead until the 67th minute when the Gophers scored the equalizer
  • Just three minutes later, Goucher scored again to move ahead 2-1
  • Moravian was unable to tie the contest 

Inside the Numbers

  • Rushatz's goal was her second of the season and her career with the Hounds
  • Junior Payce Korpics made the start in goal for the Blue & Grey and had five saves in 45 minutes of action while junior Paige Harrison added five saves in the second half
