72 Greyhounds Selected to 2022 Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

TOWSON, Md. --- The Landmark Conference announced its 2022 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections today, with 516 student-athletes receiving recognition including 72 from Moravian University. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Of the 516 student-athletes, a total of 288 have received the recognition more than once, and an impressive 128 seniors have earned the honor all three semesters they have been eligible.

The spring academic honor roll will be announced in late May or early June. The honor roll will include all spring sports as well as men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, and men's and women's indoor track & field.

Moravian had student-athletes from all six of its fall teams that compete in the conference with the women's soccer program leading the way with 22 honorees. The field hockey team had 14 selections while the men's cross country squad had 11 student-athletes selected. The men's soccer and women's cross country programs each registered nine honorees followed by the women's volleyball team with seven.

The women's soccer team placed seniors Caroline Doyle, Emma Lenthe and Jess Yanovitch, juniors Amanda Aloia, Olivia Buckley, Maddie Eisele, Felicia Gall, Paige Harrison, Payce Korpics, Lauren Latchford, Kiara Morales and Alexa Vail and sophomores Anika Buzzy, Megan Colton, Kylie Hughes, Chelsea Meltzer, Cori Pursel, Carly Pyatt, Lexi Rushatz, Maya Santos, Hailey Scaff and Taylor Yoder on the Academic Honor Roll. Doyles, Lenthe and Yanovitch are all three-time honorees.

The field hockey squad placed seniors Maddie Call, Mackenzie Jakobsen, Elise Keeney, Emily Wells and Brooke Wilkinson, juniors Sarah Bietka, Bekkah Kehoe, Hanna Leto and Jenna Segrave and sophomores Sydney Anderson, Marianna Crisafulli, Lexi Dinsmore, Alaina Schmid and Savannah Sutter on the Academic Honor Roll. Call, Jakobsen, Keeney, Wells and Wilkinson are each three-time selections.

The men's cross country team had seniors Liam Duffy, Shane Houghton and Christian Jancsarics, juniors Casey Frank, Josh Mangini and Brendon Ward and sophomores Jake Farrell, Nathan Hajel, Geoffrey Kleinberg, Owen Nahf and Wyatt Poniktera each being honored. Houghton earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll for the four straight fall while Duffy and Jancsarics were honored for a third consecutive year.

The women's cross country squad placed seniors Rachel Byrne and Peyton Herbst, juniors Emma Garchinsky and Pia Mazzella DiBosco and sophomores Rachael Goodman, Hannah Kolonoski, Catie Lovett, Ally Meeks and Amber Poniktera on the Academic Honor Roll. It was the third selection for Byrne and Herbst.

The men's soccer squad program had graduate student Alec Aloia, seniors Quinn Middleton, Kyle Smilon, Dave Steinbach and Reed Sturza, juniors Daniel Babbert, Donald Gibbs, Vito Leone and sophomore Kyle Weiss named to the Academic Honor Roll. Aloia and Middleton each earned the honor for a fourth time while Steinbach was honored for a third straight fall.

The women's volleyball team had juniors Sophie Bauer, Hannah Hayes, Allie Ludlow, Grace Silfani and Emily Szy and sophomores Jenna Deegan and Makenzie Krasley named to the Academic Honor Roll.
